In a few days, New Zealand's Online Conference will go live. The preconference warm-up is available now (see below). I have the distinct honor and privilege of serving as the conference's International keynote speaker. The invitation came from Jill Hammonds, the conference organizer, while we chatted during my recent visit to New Zealand.
In typical New Zealand hospitality they have invited anyone who reads my blog to attend. Please join us online and be ready to learn lots-- as New Zealand teachers are some of the most creative I have ever seen. See their announcement below:

Sheryl, great job on the keynote! I listened to a part of it this evening and went through your slide show.
Looking forward to listening to the complete recording and seeing what conversations you spark,

I just downloaded both parts of your address and the interviews. Great stuff. Just as enthralling as the first time I heard you speak. Gail and I sat in my office listening to it when we should have been working. Time well spent though!!

Hi Sheryl,
Thanks for bringing this NZ Online conference to greater awareness through your blog. We really do hope that anyone and everyone will come on over and visit the conference from the comfort of their chair - or their office desk in work time :-) We're really excited about the possibilities and seeing the traffic in there already. Ships and aircraft are going to have to look out for the virtual wave or jetstream that this traffic is creating across the Pacific.
NZ teachers have great ways of working and generally great freedoms with curriculum and how it is implemented (they don't all know that yet of course) so once they really get to grips with these web 2.0 tools they are just going to fly with what they do in classrooms. And many NZ kids are just as tech savvy as many other parts of the world, and once they get the opportunities in their classrooms there'll be no turning back - not that there is now - some teachers just haven't figured that yet :->>
Looking forward to more interaction now that the flood gates are open. Great opening keynote and the ripples are visible already.
Cheers,
Jill
