Last night my son walks outside- snaps this- and comes in and emails me. He then Skypes and says, "Check your email." Interesting thing- we live in the same house. I get up and go outside and make him come look with me f2f. While we are outside, my daughter, who is walking her dog calls and tells me to go outside and look at the sky. I then call the other kids and tell them to look.
The family that is networked together- stays together.
It took me until this am to realize that the small one on the right was Jupiter. I pointed the scene out to my son (10), he wasn't impressed. If only it had been a DS game...

My first reaction when I saw the photo was that it was upside down! We had this view down under (although this pic is from Perth, not Adelaide). Won't be seen for a few more years hey?

Wow! That really gives you a different perspective. We really do see things from a different place.

What a site this was - apparently this will not happen again for 40 years
On the social point - it is funny - I was on vacation with my extended family this spring - 5 of us in the kitchen at breakfast all on our Macs catching up on our larger world - the new together
A friend tweeted the other day " I am in bed with my husband. We are both on email - what a pair of losers we are!"

Beautiful picture. :-)
My family has been "skype"ified this past year. We ended up getting/giving webcams, mics and other tools for gifts this past Christmas. It's funny to watch how it's spreading. My PLN in my own family.
